Sarafina: A Global Symbol of Resistance

A concept that Tu Nokwe played a pivotal role in mentoring, Sarafina brought the story of the 1976 Soweto Uprising to global audiences. Through her Amajika Youth Project, Tu prepared young artists for the Broadway stage, where the musical became a powerful symbol of resilience and hope.
